Planned Parenthood of Northern New England (PPNNE) is a nonprofit, health-care organization dedicated to providing, promoting, and protecting access to reproductive health care and sexuality education in Maine, Vermont, and New Hampshire.
Dunkiel Saunders has served as general counsel to PPNNE for many years. In that role, we have assisted PPNNE navigate the complex and rapidly changing web of local, state, and federal regulations that affect all aspects of PPNNE’s business. Over the course of our relationship with PPNNE, we’ve provided a wide range of legal services, including general corporate, real estate, contractual, board governance, taxation and commercial matters. A good portion of our work with PPNNE also involves specialized health-care and compliance issues involving: HIPPA, HI-TECH, 340B, telemedicine, mandatory reporting, provider credentialing and licensing, prescribing and dispensing, Stark law, anti-kickback and other reimbursement-related matters. In addition, attorneys at Dunkiel Saunders have helped PPNNE negotiate the sale of a medical practice, develop, interpret and apply employment policies, and address ERISA, ADA, FMLA, FEPA and other human resource-related issues.
PPNNE takes great pride in providing the highest-quality health care consistent with best practices in the field. Dunkiel Saunders has worked with PPNNE to fine tune its risk management and corporate compliance programs and stay abreast of state and federal legal developments that may impact its patient services.
We are honored and gratified to be able to assist PPNNE in achieving its mission. Attorneys at Dunkiel Saunders have handled work for a wide range of other public and private entities, including numerous private practitioners, with their health law questions and related needs.
