Justin McCabe will speak about copyright law at the Goddard College Spring Arts Marketing Conference on Tuesday, April 22. His presentation, Copyright Basics in the Digital Age, will be held from 2:45-4 p.m. at the College’s Community Center.
The presentation covers the nature, scope and duration of copyright protection, how to obtain and maintain copyright protection, and a discussion of the different kinds of copyrighted works. Justin will discuss copyright in the age of the Internet and the way that the fundamental concepts are adapting to new technologies, social media copyright policies, and the special concerns caused by new forms of publishing.
Following his presentation, attendees will have been introduced to copyright law and will have the opportunity to have basic questions answered about trademarks and copyright.
